Black Inclusions

Black inclusion or black spots are the carbon particles that were formed in a diamond when it was born. Black dots or pepper (popular term) are the most common inclusion in a diamond piece. Having extreme contrast value, black spots in a white diamond most of the time become very apparent and stand out clearly. It looks like small dark flakes.
